Civil Engineering Technology: Civil Transfer Option to Civil Engineering
An opportunity to gain an associate degree from Delaware Tech and a bachelor's degree from University of Delaware.
Your Path to a Bachelor's Degree
Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior
The Connected Degree 2+2 Curriculum
Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Civil Engineering Technology: Civil Transfer Option will prepare students for transfer to a baccalaureate civil engineering program that leads to a career as a civil engineer. Rigorous mathematics, chemistry, physics, statics, materials, and civil engineering courses prepare students for their final two years of study at a four-year institution. The University of Delaware's Bachelor of Science degree program in Civil Engineering prepares graduates to actively engage in problem solving using engineering principles to address the evolving needs of society. Graduates will be able to advance in their civil engineering careers or other chosen professions and/or enroll in graduate studies. They will be prepared to make ethical decisions and demonstrate a commitment to service to their profession and society. Modern civil engineering addresses large segments of the societal infrastructure such as mass transportation systems, water resource exploration and management, environmental protection, coastal management and off-shore structures.
